Vision Therapy is a program of individualized activities directed towards developing visual skills to improve visual function and efficiency in our daily lives. Vision Therapy helps individuals develop visual skills to use their eyes, brain, and body better together. Our program is designed to promote visual development.

Vision Therapy is often recommended to address visual issues such as amblyopia, strabismus, eye movement disorders, learning-related visual problems, convergence insufficiency and other visual dysfunctions. Vision Therapy typically involves a series of structured activities and exercises tailored to the individual’s specific needs. These activities can include eye tracking exercises, focusing exercises, eye teaming exercises, visual scanning activities, and visual-motor integration tasks.

Vision therapy is a gradual process that requires regular and consistent practice over a period of time. The duration of therapy can vary depending on the individual’s condition and response to treatment.

We work to improve lives through vision. Improvement looks different for everyone.

How does Vision Therapy work?

NEUROPLASTICITY
Neuroplasticity is the brain’s ability to change and adapt due to experience. It allows the brain to change, reorganize, and develop new neural networks and strengthen current connections. Neuroplasticity is accomplished through learning and occurs from birth until death. There is no “critical period” where an individual is not able to learn new things. Our program encourages neuroplasticity by improving the neurological connections from your eyes to your brain.
